The visual identity of the game is respected, as well as the appearance of Tom Holland and the scenes that were taken from the video game (rushing on the roofs, plane crash…). There Sully tells Nathan that in order to find her brother Samuel he will have to go in search of a mysterious galley. The trailer begins with scenes from the third game Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in which we see the first meeting and meeting of two friends when Nathan tries to steal a relic from a museum. So Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his mentor Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) will take us on exciting adventures.
The original script was supposed to be signed by Joe Carnahan but Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Men In Black International, Bumblebee) took it upon themselves.

It was the same with the directors, the project announced David O. Nathan Fillion (Castle, The Suicide Squad) and Mark Wahlberg (No Pain No Gain, Deepwater) were announced for the lead role in the film, and finally Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) got the role.
